LIVERPOOL PLAYWRIGHTS
Liverpool Playwrights meet most Thursday evenings between 20-00 and 22.00 at a location in Liverpool City Centre. The aim of the group is to promote and encourage new writing for Radio ,The Stage and TV.
Membership is free and enables local writers to have their scripts read and discussed at the Thursday night meetings . The group has a pool of experienced actors that it calls upon to help read members scripts at these meetings.
Guest speakers from the industry are sometimes invited to talk to the group from time to time. The group also acts as a forum for the exchange of information about the scriptwriting business generally.
Past and present members of the group have worked as writers on such shows as Eastenders, Brookside, Hollyoaks, Crossroads, The Bill, The Vice, Dreamteam, The Cops, Merseybeat and many others
